According to Broadcom, the SoC reduces video bandwidth use by 50 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with <b>Technicolor<\/b>, Tata Sky plans to mass-deploy Ultra-HD STBs throughout India in 2015. Broadcom\u2019s SoC enables 4K resolution at 60 Frames Per Second (FPS). The device has a variety of interfaces capable of supporting front-end cable, Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS), satellite and 802.11ac Wi-Fi devices.
