The vessel will stay connected during its 82-day expedition using an RSCC-installed VSAT, a maritime stabilized SeaTel antenna and the Somatom control complex.<\/p>\n<p>Roshydromet is working with RSCC to expand the communication systems of the agency\u2019s maritime facilities. Russia\u2019s <b>Arctic and Antarctic Scientific Research Institute<\/b>, a part of Roshydromet, organized the contract. Passengers aboard the ship will have access to broadband for research purposes as well as personal use.<\/p>\n<p>The Akademik Tryoshnikov\u2019s mission is to study hydro-meteorological and ice conditions in the Kara, Laptev and Chukotka seas.
