EMC\u2019s solution will support services for the bank, which has more than 50 million customers.<\/p>\n<p>BRI will use an EMC solution that incorporates the company\u2019s proprietary SatLink Second Generation Digital Video Broadcasting Interactive Satellite System (DVBS2-RCS2) Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) technology. SatLink uses Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) to mitigate the effects of rain fade as well as boost spectral efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>In order to stay connected with its customers across an expansive geography, BRI decided in 2014 to purchase its own satellite. The bank selected&nbsp;<strong>SSL<\/strong> to build BRIsat, and <strong>Arianespace<\/strong> to launch the satellite in 2016.
