The \u2018Galactic 06\u2019 flight marked the first time all four seats aboard VSS Unity were occupied by private astronauts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Onboard \u2018Galactic 06\u2019:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Astronaut 023 \u2013 <strong>Lina Borozdina<\/strong>, Ukraine and Nevada, U.S.<\/li>\n<li>Astronaut 024 \u2013 <strong>Robie Vaughn<\/strong>, Texas, U.S.<\/li>\n<li>Astronaut 025 \u2013 <strong>Franz Haider<\/strong>, Austria<\/li>\n<li>Astronaut 026 \u2013 <strong>Neil Kornswiet<\/strong>, California, U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Michael Colglazier, CEO of Virgin Galactic<\/strong>, said: \u201cToday the incredible team at Virgin Galactic supported another successful mission and delivered an unforgettable experience for four new astronauts. The success of \u2018Galactic 06\u2019 and the Company\u2019s other commercial spaceflights in recent months only increases our confidence in the repeatability of our product and our ability to deliver a superlative experience to our customers. With the production of our next-generation Delta-class ships underway, we look forward to expanding our flight capacity with testing expected to start next year and commercial service in 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The launch was watched from the ground at Spaceport America by more than 150 guests alongside Virgin Galactic\u2019s team. VSS Unity was commanded by C.J. Sturckow with pilot Nicola Pecile. Michael Masucci commanded mothership VMS Eve joined by pilot Dan Alix.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Galactic 06\u2019 Flight Facts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take-off Time: 10:00 am MT<\/li>\n<li>Altitude at Release: 44,493 ft<\/li>\n<li>Apogee: 55.2 miles<\/li>\n<li>Top Speed: Mach 2.98<\/li>\n<li>Landing Time: 10:56 am MT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Company\u2019s next mission, expected in the second quarter of 2024, will include both a researcher and private astronauts.
