The numbers also predict that mobile-broadband subscriptions will reach 2.3 billion globally, and that the developing world will account for 55 percent of these subscriptions.<\/p>\n<p>In Africa, statistics show that almost 20 percent of the population will use the Internet by the end of 2014, a number that has increased by 10 percent since 2010. Regarding mobile subscriptions, the ITU reports that worldwide mobile-cellular subscriptions will reach almost 7 billion by the end of the year, and approximately 3.6 billion of these subscriptions will be in the Asia-Pacific region.
