The new platform will support <b>Sky Italia<\/b>, an Italian digital satellite TV platform, and will support the delivery of HD content to cable, satellite and pay-TV markets in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The Hot Bird platform will provide the uplink capabilities to SatLink\u2019s centers in Israel and will enable the simultaneous broadcast of a signal using multiple encryption and decryption systems.<\/p>\n<p>The new DVB-S2 platform offers more bandwidth capacity, with more Mbps in a specific space segment for transmission of HD content.
