Photo: Signalhorn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>[Via Satellite 10-22-13] <b>Signalhorn<\/b>, a global provider of network services and communications solutions using terrestrial, satellite, and wireless technologies, has made two new appointments to its executive team. Richard Minter has been named chief operating officer, and Anver Anderson has been named chief sales officer.<\/p>\n<p>Minter will oversee the company\u2019s engineering and operations in the global provision of network services and communications solutions to the company\u2019s enterprise, energy, government and NGO, and maritime customers. Anderson will be responsible for the company\u2019s global sales and marketing outreach as well as its long-range business development initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Minter held the position of chief operating officer for <b>SES Government Solutions<\/b>. During his 10 years at SES, he held other executive positions including chief scientist; senior vice president of engineering and intelligence programs; corporate vice president; vice president of managed services engineering; and vice president of teleport operations. Prior to joining SES, Minter held key executive positions at <b>Verestar<\/b>, <b>XO Communications<\/b>, <b>Infonet\/BT<\/b>, and <b>GTE Spacenet<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Minter is a member of the board of directors of SES Government Solutions and a member of the Technical Advisory Board, <b>Afara Web Systems<\/b>. Photo: Signalhorn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Anderson has he has led a U.K.-based consultancy for the past 10 years, specializing in business development, strategic market planning, project management and product evaluation and development.<\/p>\n<p>As part of his consultancy, Anderson served as vice president of Asian operations for <b>Newtec<\/b>, a satellite technology manufacturer. He managed Newtec\u2019s Singapore and Beijing offices as well as remote business development operations in Sydney, Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to forming his consultancy, Anderson held a number of corporate executive positions, including sales and marketing director of <b>EuropeStar,<\/b> head of satellite sales for <b>Merlin Communications,<\/b> director of satellite sales for <b>Williams Vyvx Services,<\/b> and head of market planning and analysis for <b>Inmarsat<\/b>.
