The satellite will feature an E3000 Platform with a separated spacecraft mass of 6,100 kilograms (13,448 pounds).<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; SES 6 is a multipurpose satellite built by <b>Astrium<\/b> for <b>SES<\/b>, and will be replacing NSS-806 at 319.5 degrees east to provide capacity expansion over North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe and Atlantic Ocean region. The satellite\u2019s expanded Ku-band payload will support DTH platforms, VSAT services and government digital inclusion programs throughout Latin America. The C-band payload will add incremental capacity to support channel growth at this key cable neighborhood.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The satellite will be launched aboard a Proton M\/Breeze M rocket, manufactured by <b>Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center<\/b>, based in Russia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SES 6 will be launched in June from Kazakhstan.
