Belgium Satellite Services s.a., (BSS) a major satellite service provider based in Europe announces the completion of acquisition of \u201cINTERSAT\u201d, one of well known service provider of Internet via satellite in Africa and M.East. With this acquisition, BSS expands its operations and service delivery in Middle East and African markets. Together with INTERSAT, BSS will build a bigger enterprise with one of the best service delivery to serve its customers in the region. Acquisition shall drive growth and innovation, and create new opportunities for customers, shareholders, employees and the communities in Africa and Middle East region.

\nBSS as a part of expansion strategy has now moved into Africa and incorporated its subsidiary in Kenya \u201cBSS Africa Ltd.\u201d. This is the service arm for its enterprise customers. Operations & Office in Kenya shall be headed by Mr. Hanif Kassam.

\nFor INTERSAT, the technical, sales and customer service team remains same and shall work jointly with BSS team for sales, product and market development activities. This acquisition enhances virtually every element of BSS Group\u2019s commercial business including wholesale and retail services and also strengthens its commitment to deliver reliable satellite service to our customers.

\nBSS also incorporated subsidiary in UAE \u201cINTERSAT FZe\u201d as a step towards its expansion program in Middle East.

\nAs per Mr. Nitin Dhawan, BSS Group CEO \u201cThis acquisition shall provide an avenue to bring
\n\u2013 BSS expertise to African continent including GSM backhauling & voice termination connectivity to BSS\u2019s Tier-1 service providers in Europe;
