The \u201csmall platform\u201d satellites are designed to operate in the 3- to 8-kilowatt power range for <strong>Asia Broadcast Satellite<\/strong> (ABS) and <strong>Sat\u00e9llites Mexicanos <\/strong>(Satmex). This is Boeing\u2019s first order for its 702SP satellite program. <\/p>\n<p>Saft will deliver high-energy lithium-ion cells and modules, which supply 8kW of on-board power for the 15 years the satellites are expected to be in operation.
