The British government is planning to pour $95 million more on the European Space Agency<\/strong> over the next to years and to endow more than $475 million specifically in space-science research in the next five years. <\/p>\n

According to reports, the United Kingdom will host once again ESA\u2019s telecommunications satellite headquarters, which is expected to create about 100 new jobs in technology. Overall, space-related industries in the country have experienced growth in the past years contributing more than $14 billion to Great Britain\u2019s economy. The government expects to raise that number to $48 billion within the next 18 years. <\/p>\n

Besides the space program, the country is also seeking to emerge as world leader in seven different technology-related fields: regenerative medicine, energy storage, computing, agricultural science, advanced materials, robotics and synthetic biology.<\/p>\n
