The testing was based on the rigorous <strong>Eutelsat <\/strong>and <strong>Intelsat <\/strong>satellite-operator specifications and the award demonstrates Mitsubishi\u2019s ability to provide high-quality Ku-band transmissions via a 1.2-meter Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) designed for use onboard maritime vessels.<br \/>\n\t\u201cMitsubishi Electric\u2019s new product is an important breakthrough for the maritime broadband marketplace,\u201d GVF Secretary General David Hartshorn said in a statement. \u201cThe type approval tests show that their VSAT product has been designed to provide a high standard of service in challenging maritime operating conditions.\u201d<br \/>\n\tGVF testing for Mitsubishi Electric outsourced Earth station type-approvals testing services through a mutually-recognized test framework and an industry-authorized network of testing entities.
