Raytheon Chairman and CEO William Swanson said the increase in operating income was primarily due to improved program performance.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;\u201cRaytheon reported solid operating performance in the second quarter driven by strong execution across the company,&#8221; Swanson said in a statement. \u201cAs we celebrate our 90th anniversary this month, we continue to build on a long heritage of solving complex customer problems with innovative solutions and world class technology while creating value for shareholders and customers.\u201d<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Raytheon SAS booked $205 million during the quarter to provide multi-spectral targeting systems (MTS) for U.S. Air Force UAVs.
