The satellite is based on SS\/L\u2019s 1300 platform for positioning at the 91.1 degrees West orbital slot and features 32 Ku-band transponders that are fully contracted to Bell TV for 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cTelesat is very pleased with Space Systems\/Loral\u2019s strong execution on the construction and delivery of the Nimiq 6 satellite,\u201d Telesat President and CEO Dan Goldberg said in a statement. \u201cNimiq 6 will allow Telesat\u2019s longstanding customer, Bell TV, to offer improved performance to its subscribers throughout all of Canada.
