The platform supports a range of applications including broadband Internet, Voice-over-IP, IPTV distribution and distance education.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Numix Engineering Managing Director Abdul Razak said his company held a competitive analysis of potential solutions and selected Hughes for the company\u2019s experience in designing satellite gateways for high throughput system (HTS) platforms.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;\u201cHughes\u2019 smaller footprint of network operations center equipment and its greater flexibility in scalability was a factor in selecting the company,\u201d Razak said in a statement. \u201cAdditionally, we were impressed with the new high-performance HN9200 remote terminals with enhanced traffic processing capability.\u201d<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Razak added that the new Hughes HN System would allow Numix to address both spectrums of its competitive market. \u201cAt one end, we can launch competitive service plans for thin route applications, and on the other hand we can provide service plans for customers requiring broadband speeds of 4 Mbps and above at affordable prices,\u201d he said.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Hughes\u2019 Regional Director of Sales Vaibhav Magow said the contract was a big win for his company in one of its target markets in Asia\/Pacific. \u201cWe are very pleased to have been awarded this contract.
