Voice-over-IP and satellite links can create bandwidth issues, but Cisco said it came up with the new IP multiplexing capability to tackles the problem.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Features have been added to update the operating system used in the 5915 ESR and the 5940 ESR to deliver up to a 20 to 1 increase in call volume capability, according to Cisco Product Manager Ken Kauffmann.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;\u201cThis allows you to have more phone calls, but also allows other applications to make use of additional packets per seconds,\u201d Kauffmann said in a statement. \u201cCustomers are typically using satellite modems for uplink and downlink measured at 1800 to 2000 packets-per-second.
