The platforms include videoconferencing for medical personnel, engineering and operations support.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;\u201cThe combination of EMC\u2019s HD Connect and Temasys Vidyo Cloud can show a 70 percent to 80 percent reduction in the cost of a VC network when compared with the use of legacy systems,\u201d Temasys Managing Director Bill Lewis said in a statement. \u201cThe routing of this call was chosen to optimize the quality of the experience. The EMC Earth stations used were located in Miami and Hawaii and were connected to one of EMC\u2019s Pacific VSAT satellites.
