{"id":83466,"date":"2012-03-02T01:10:26","date_gmt":"2012-03-01T17:10:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/boeing-artel-partner-to-sell-inmarsat-bandwidth-to-u-s-government\/"},"modified":"2012-03-02T01:10:26","modified_gmt":"2012-03-01T17:10:26","slug":"boeing-artel-partner-to-sell-inmarsat-bandwidth-to-u-s-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/boeing-artel-partner-to-sell-inmarsat-bandwidth-to-u-s-government\/","title":{"rendered":"Boeing, Artel Partner to Sell Inmarsat Bandwidth to U.S. Government"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[03-01-12] <b>Boeing Commercial Satellite Services <\/b>has entered into a cooperative business agreement with <b>Artel<\/b> to distribute Inmarsat bandwidth to U.S. government customers via the Inmarsat-3, -4 and -5 satellites, Boeing announced Feb. 29.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;Boeing said it has been working with Artel and potential customers and users to develop Ka-band powered satellite communications solutions for unique applications.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;\u201cThe first collaboration will be followed by additional offers to provide unique end-to-end commercial satellite services to U.S. government and commercial customers,\u201d Boeing said in a company statement. \u201cInmarsat-5 global satellite communications will be available starting in late 2013, and users will be able to conduct compatibility testing on their terminals starting in the middle of that year.\u201d<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;The latest Inmarsat government bandwidth partnership stems from a $1 billion deal that the MSS operator signed with Boeing in August 2010 to build three Ka-band satellites for its Global Xpress program.
