{"id":83570,"date":"2012-02-07T17:33:13","date_gmt":"2012-02-07T09:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/norsat-establishes-new-power-solutions-division\/"},"modified":"2012-02-07T17:33:13","modified_gmt":"2012-02-07T09:33:13","slug":"norsat-establishes-new-power-solutions-division","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/norsat-establishes-new-power-solutions-division\/","title":{"rendered":"Norsat Establishes New Power Solutions Division"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[02-07-12] <b>Norsat International<\/b> has established a new division of the company at its Aurora, Ontario plant that will provide turnkey, project-specific power conversion and energy storage solutions for high-integrity applications in the communications, transportation and resource sectors, the company announced Feb. 6.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;The Norsat Power Solutions division also will aim to develop complementary products for Norsat\u2019s other divisions, including power supplies and DC-DC converters for the company\u2019s Microwave Products division and portable power products for its Satellite Solutions division.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Ivan Gissing, who was recently appointed General Manager of Norsat\u2019s <b>Sinclair<\/b> division, will lead Norsat Power Solutions.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;\u201cOur Power Solutions Division will enable us to diversify into a new market segment, while leveraging a number of our existing Norsat\/Sinclair customer relationships, especially in the utility and rail sectors.
