Patrick Rayermann has been hired by <b>Orbital Sciences<\/b> to serve as its senior director of corporate strategy and development, the company announced Nov. 22.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Rayermann will be responsible for identifying strategic and budgetary challenges for Orbital\u2019s government customers and supporting new solutions developments to overcome these obstacles. Orbital said that Rayermann, a longtime advocate of military satellite programs, would be one of the company\u2019s leading representatives to government organizations involved in military satellite communications, as well as other national security space markets.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Rayermann began his active-duty military career in 1981. During his 30-year career in the Army, he served in numerous leadership roles supporting the U.S. Department of Defense\u2019s exploitation of space capabilities with a focus on satellite communications.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[11-24-11] Retired U.S. Army Col.
