SES fully contracted the satellite to&nbsp;<b>EchoStar<\/b>&nbsp;subsidiary&nbsp;<b>Dish Mexico<\/b>&nbsp;for direct-to-home (DTH) services in Mexico.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp; QuetzSat-1 will be positioned at 77 degrees West to support a range of applications and provide high-power for advanced DTH television. SS\/L designed the spacecraft to deliver service for a minimum of 15 years.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cWe have enjoyed a close working relationship with SES, and QuetzSat is the first to launch of three SES satellites currently under construction at SS\/L.
