As of June 30, MDA\u2019s backlog was $833 million, compared with $877 million at the end of its previous quarter in March.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp; MDA also announced that the company intends to make a substantial issuer bid to purchase and cancel up to $500 million in outstanding common shares from shareholders.
