Special features designed into the Afcomsat system were tailored to provide communication links in rain-fade situations commonly faced in the Nigerian Delta region, Afcomsat said.<br \/>\n\u201cThe dual mode system enables communication with the company\u2019s field hand held radios, which turns the ERV into a command post. Streaming live broadcast quality video can now be sent from the ERV and data files can be exchanged with the oil company network.
