{"id":85658,"date":"2010-12-15T18:06:37","date_gmt":"2010-12-15T10:06:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/arianespace-wins-sicral-2-launch\/"},"modified":"2010-12-15T18:06:37","modified_gmt":"2010-12-15T10:06:37","slug":"arianespace-wins-sicral-2-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/arianespace-wins-sicral-2-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Arianespace Wins Sicral 2 Launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Telespazio<\/strong> has selected <strong>Arianespace<\/strong> to  launch the Sicral 2 satellite into geostationary orbit on an Ariane 5  launched from the Guiana Space Center in November 2013, Arianespace  announced Dec. 6. <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The launch deal, Arianespace\u2019s 11th of the year, will fall under the  framework of a $375.6 million turnkey contract Telespazio and <strong>Thales  Alenia Space<\/strong> signed with the <strong>Italian Defense Ministry<\/strong>  and the <strong>French DGA Armament Agency<\/strong> for the development  and ground segment for Sicral 2 in May.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Sicral 2 Program aims to support European military satellite  communications and is designed to meet the needs expected to develop in  the near future. The planned satellite and ground segment provides  strategic and tactical communications links for both domestic operations  and foreign deployments.
