Director Jonathan Hurd said in a statement.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; However, Hurd said that the report also shows a \u201cseismic shift in consumer video preferences,\u201d providing opportunities for cable and satellite providers to differentiate versus online video alternatives.<br \/>\nThe survey reports that only 42 percent of 18-34 year olds watch TV shows during their regular linear time slots, as compared with 60 percent of those 35 and up. Of the 18-to-34 set, 16 percent watch full TV episodes online daily, versus just 6 percent of those 35 and older. The percent of overall respondents watching full TV episodes online daily has increased from 5 percent last year to 10 percent. <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cOnline use has not resulted in mass pay-TV cancellations; only 3 percent of those 18 to 34 have pulled the plug on a home pay-TV service.
