The encoder can simultaneously compress one to two  streams of HD video or one to four streams of SD video. <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In a  statement, ViaSat Enerdyne General Manager Steve Gardner said the unit\u2019s  MPEG-2 transport stream output lowers risk when integrating it with  existing IP-compliant data links. \u201cThe EnerLinks HD Encoder is data link  agnostic.
