Tuesday\u2019s launch contract was the first press release from Vingroup referencing VinSpace. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company aims to become a full-stack aerospace company with capabilities from satellite design and manufacturing to assembly, integration and testing (AIT), launch mission management, satellite operations, and downstream space data products and services. It plans to Vietnam\u2019s sovereign space capabilities, pursue international collaboration, and commercialize space technologies. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VinSpace\u2019s announcement did not specify a specific number of satellites for the rideshare mission or what capabilities the satellites will demonstrate. VinSpace is responsible for the R&amp;D, manufacturing and on-orbit operation of its satellites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis contract with SpaceX is an important milestone in VinSpace\u2019s long-term strategy to help build Vietnam\u2019s space ecosystem and strengthen the country\u2019s position within the global space economy,\u201d VinSpace CEO Thu Vu said in a statement. Thu was appointed VinSpace CEO in January of this year.
