The satellite is based on the 20-kilowatt version of SS\/L\u2019s 1300 platform. EchoStar 15 is designed to provide Ku-band services in the United States and will support <strong>Dish Network<\/strong>\u2018s expansion of its HD channel lineup. <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cSS\/L is always willing to take on a challenge. We asked them to provide us this satellite ahead of schedule and they exceeded our expectations.
