Funds raised in the offering will be used by SS\/L for working capital and other general corporate purposes, including the financing of further growth and expansion of SS\/L\u2019s business, according to the filing. <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Loral CEO Michael Targoff initially confirmed SS\/L\u2019s IPO plans in May while announcing Loral\u2019s 2010 first quarter results. \u201cIn order to further support the growth in SS\/L\u2019s business, we intend to pursue an initial public offering for the sale of up to 19.9 percent of SS\/L. We are working with two leading investment banks in connection with the planned IPO and for the evaluation of other possible strategic alternatives,\u201d Targoff said.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; SS\/L reported first quarter 2010 revenues of $230.8 million, compared to $216.4 million in the first quarter of 2009. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was $12.7 million, compared to $10.4 million for the first quarter of 2009.
