There is a different atmosphere at NAB 2010 compared to a year ago, as an improved economy and the excitement surrounding 3-D has raised the energy levels around the halls. But while 3-D production and delivery issues \u2014 as well as how to garner revenue \u2014 are a hot topic of discussion in many of the booths, there are other areas of interest and concern that are getting just as much attention.<\/p>\n
Delivering business information and entertainment to mobile customers is becoming a bigger revenue producer for many companies, and the show floor has not shortage of companies looking to expand that sector of the business. At the moment, data services are the heart of the mobile industry, and happy customers simply want a choice of even more reliable services capable of delivering greater amounts of data at a lower price. That\u2019s not the easiest request, but the technology under development to meet these demands is on display, so users that are interested in making deals have options.<\/p>\n
The mobile entertainment side of the business \u2014 at least video \u2014 still has more work to do to begin seeing a true revenue stream, but advancements have been made, and the delivery of video to mobile devices seems closer than it was just a few years ago.<\/p>\n
And security concerns are being discussed more this year than ever before, a natural development as the amount of entertainment and business information being delivered to all platforms continues to grow exponentially.<\/p>\n
And there is 3-D. In just a few years, the excitement around 3-D has grown from a few theater presentations and small booth displays to being the most talked about topic of the show. With so much going on, it\u2019s hard to process the true revenue potential of 3-D at the moment, but we have two more days to figure it out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
