(IDC) was awarded a $5.3 million contract by <strong>National Public Radio<\/strong> (NPR) to update and refurbish the Public Radio Satellite System (PRSS), IDC announced Jan 20.  \t<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; IDC, which provided NPR\u2019s existing infrastructure, will update NPR\u2019s network operations center equipment, while augmenting it with IDC\u2019s production manager to provide functionality for region-specific programming. IDC also will deliver SFX4104 Pro Audio and DVB-S2 upgrades to NPR\u2019s next-generation satellite receivers. <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; NPR\u2019s PRSS transmits programming to more than 800 public radio stations throughout the United States.
