The company attributed the slide to the limited profitability of in-orbit payments it received during the quarter, the global economy and the weak U.S. dollar. <br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Despite the recession, the company\u2019s stands strong at this point of the year. For the nine months to the end of September, Astrium gained revenues of 3.23 billion euros ($4.83 billion). This compares to 2.75 million euros ($4.11 billion) in the first nine months of last year. The company said it had seen revenue increases across all of its business in the first nine months of the year.<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The company has also seen two of its recently built satellites, Amazonas 2 (Hispasat) and SatComBW1 (German Armed Forces) successfully launched in September.
