Viasat Inc.<\/span>, a global communications company, and <\/span>Intellian<\/span>, a provider of feature-rich, future-proof <\/span>satellite<\/span> communications solutions, have announced a contract award for Intellian to design and supply a bespoke range of <\/span>Ka-band<\/span> user terminals exclusively for Viasat’s Maritime connectivity solution.<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to the bespoke new terminals, <\/span>Intellian<\/span> <\/span>will also develop a 100 cm upgrade kit for Intellian’s popular <\/span>NX Series<\/span>. The NX Series is the world’s market-leading VSAT maritime antenna, and this conversion kit will enable thousands of vessels the opportunity to connect to <\/span>Viasat<\/span> services.<\/span><\/p>\n The new 60 cm and 100 cm bespoke user terminals leverage Intellian<\/span>‘s innovative satellite terminal technology and <\/span>geostationary satellite orbit (GEO)<\/span> modem integration expertise. With many world-firsts and industry-leading innovations, Intellian has quickly garnered a reputation for engineering excellence through its customer-centric approach.<\/span><\/p>\n With the new range of <\/span>Viasat<\/span> products, customers will benefit from highly reliable access to Viasat’s satellite network, including the upcoming <\/span>ViaSat-3<\/span> constellation. The launch of the first trio of ViaSat-3 satellites is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023 and is expected to be in service for the maritime market in 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n From streaming to video conferencing, Intellian<\/span> <\/span>and Viasat<\/span> <\/span>will empower a true at-home and in-office experience for a superyacht, energy, and commercial customers, so that everybody onboard can do anything online.
