The FCPU is utilized as the Command and Data Handling (C&amp;DH) processor of LeoStella\u2019s spacecraft, where the PIE is the processor in support of the payload.<\/p>\n<p>The FCPU is based on Innoflight\u2019s mature and versatile Compact Flight Computer CFC-400XS in the SmallSat form factor. At a high level, the CFC-400XS consists of two (2) main elements, the high-reliability element (Supervisor Board) and the high-performance element (Processor Board and Daughter Card). The Supervisor Board implements Innoflight\u2019s proprietary radiation mitigation techniques, ultimately enhancing the reliability of the unit. The Processor Board includes a defense-grade Xilinx UltraScale+ Multi-Processor System-on-Chip (MPSoC) for General Purpose Processing (GPP). The PIE is a Space VPX system that includes a CFX-400XP card, an extended data storage card and a custom I\/O card, all enclosed in a VPX chassis.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLeoStella selected Innoflight\u2019s high-performance and low Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) computing platform as it can be easily adapted to meet LeoStella\u2019s modular and adaptable satellite interfaces,\u201d<\/em> <strong>said LeoStella Program Manager&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Chris Simons<\/strong>. <em>\u201cLeoStella will use this flight computer in our current contractual program and in many of our future programs.
