Image: Michael Cain\/Spaceflight Now<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>SpaceX launched its penultimate planned flight in May, sending its Falcon 9 rocket flying from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The Starlink 10-53 mission will add another 29 broadband internet satellites to the company\u2019s low Earth orbit megaconstellation. The network consists of more than 10,000 spacecraft.<\/p>\n<p>Liftoff from Space Launch Complex 40 happened at 8:57 a.m. EDT (1257 UTC). The rocket flew on a north-easterly trajectory upon leaving the pad.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/e98GNsifulw?si=fMmtyK5-6qrcYY82\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The 45th Weather Squadron forecast an 80 percent chance for favorable weather during the launch window.
