OQ Technology, Eseye Partner to Deliver Global 5G IoT Connectivity via Satellite and Cellular Networks

OQ Technology said it has formed a partnership with U.K.-based Eseye to provide seamless, global 5G Internet of Things connectivity by integrating satellite and terrestrial networks through a single SIM solution.

Announced on Jan. 20, the collaboration combines OQ Technology’s low-Earth orbit satellite constellation with Eseye’s AnyNet Connectivity Hub, creating what the companies describe as a unified ecosystem that allows IoT devices to automatically roam between cellular and satellite coverage.

The solution is built on the 3GPP Release 17 standard, extending multi–radio access technology connectivity to non-terrestrial networks. OQ Technology’s satellites operate in S-band spectrum and are designed to deliver low-latency, high-reliability links tailored for IoT and machine-to-machine applications, complementing Eseye’s global terrestrial network partnerships.

“By combining satellite and terrestrial connectivity, we’re removing the complexity and limitations of global IoT deployments,” said Adam Hayes, chief operating officer of Eseye. “This partnership ensures businesses can stay connected anywhere, unlocking new opportunities and accelerating innovation for our customers worldwide.”

The companies said the combined offering is aimed at industries that require uninterrupted data flows across remote and mobile environments, including maritime transport, logistics, energy, mining, agriculture and environmental monitoring. By enabling always-on connectivity across land and space-based networks, the partners aim to support safety, efficiency and sustainability objectives for enterprise customers.

OQ Technology said the partnership supports its strategy to expand ubiquitous IoT coverage worldwide, while Eseye said the addition of a satellite layer strengthens its ability to provide resilient, global connectivity under a single commercial and technical framework.
