In the past year, space computing power has become one of the hottest topics in global commercial aerospace. Almost everyone is discussing space computing power, but few can answer a few basic questions:

Which companies are actually participating in the construction of space computing power?
What exactly does the space computing power industry chain consist of?

As of now, the industry still lacks a systematic review of these issues.

Space computing power is entering the “how to do it” stage
In 2025, the industry discussion will be more about: Why do we need space computing power? By 2026, the industry has begun to enter a new stage: How to do space computing power? From the current point of view, the industry has not yet formed a real space computing power enterprise. More and more, a group of satellite companies, chip companies, communications companies, software companies, data companies and infrastructure companies are beginning to try to enter this emerging field. In other words: the concept has been formed, but the industry has not yet been formed; the project has emerged, but the enterprise has not yet been finalized. This is precisely the time when a new industry is most worthy of study.

Top 10 New Tracks for Space Computing Power
In order to study this emerging industry more systematically, Nihao Space officially launched the topic “Top 10 New Tracks for China’s Space Computing Power in 2026”. The special topic will try to answer three core questions: First, what does the space computing power industry chain look like? Second, which directions deserve the most attention? Third, which companies are participating? After preliminary research, we have initially sorted out the 10 most noteworthy new tracks for China’s space computing power: 1. Radiation-resistant AI chips 2. Orbital AI computing platform 3. Inter-satellite communication network 4. Space energy system 5. Space thermal control system 6. Space data storage 7. Constellation operating system 8. Space cloud platform 9. On-orbit service and maintenance 10. Space data security These directions do not necessarily represent the final answer. We also hope to jointly improve this space computing power industry map through industry discussions.
