China Aerospace was established in December 2018, relying on the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Aerospace Science and Technology Center. It is the first mixed-ownership commercial aerospace enterprise in China.

Xi’an Zhongke Aerospace Power Technology Co., Ltd.: Mainly responsible for the development of liquid engines.
Station No. 130 of Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center: a dedicated launch station for Lijian-1, with a planned area of 200 acres.
4. Product Type Spectrum
Lijian-1 launch vehicle: Lijian-1 is a solid launch vehicle, developed by the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with participation from China Aerospace Science and Technology Institute and the Guangdong Aerospace Science and Technology Research Institute. The power system consists of four solid rocket motors and a final attitude control power system. It adopts a four-stage solid motor series configuration. All engines are developed by the Fourth Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. The structural system consists of 11 structural sections and 5 sets of separation devices. The electrical system adopts a hybrid bus system of 1553B+RS422+Ethernet, and the ground measurement, launch and control system and the rocket avionics system are integrated in the design. The launch mode adopts three horizontal and one vertical.
