Momentus Completes Critical Design Review for Vigoride 8 NASA Mission

Momentus, a U.S. commercial space company specializing in satellite technology, space transportation, and in-orbit services, had announced the completion of the Spacecraft Critical Design Review (CDR) for its Vigoride 8 mission, transporting two hosted payloads under contracts with NASA. Completion of this key program milestone had formally concluded the design and analysis phase of the preparation of the spacecraft.

“Achieving Spacecraft CDR is a major accomplishment for the Vigoride 8 team,” said Tom Malko, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Momentus. “We leveraged our historical space mission experience to deliver a rigorous design for an efficient review process. Today’s positive report confirms that our spacecraft configuration is fully defined, meets the needs of our NASA customers, and is ready to move into procurement and production activities. Overall, this milestone reflects the strength of our engineering organization in close collaboration with NASA and our mission partners.”
