Exolaunch Deploys Spire-built Satellites With OroraTech Infrared Cameras

Exolaunch, a global leader in launch mission management, integration and deployment services, has successfully deployed eight satellites for Germany’s OroraTech, built by Spire, aboard Rocket Lab‘s Electron rocket. The mission lifted off from Launch Complex 1 in Mahia, New Zealand, on March 26th. This is the Exolaunch’s 35th mission in total and the 4th mission in 2025. This launch marks a significant milestone for the company, expanding its flight heritage to 529 flown customer satellites and further deepening collaboration with Spire Global and OroraTech.

The satellites delivered into orbit via Exolaunch’s EXOpod Nova deployers will form OroraTech’s first operational wildfire monitoring constellation, providing critical infrared imaging and data services that help detect and monitor wildfires in real time, particularly in the “Afternoon and Night Gap”, when fires often intensify and traditional Earth observation tools are limited.

The mission was executed by RocketLab on a rapid timeline from contract signing to launch in just four months highlighting the flexibility of Electron and quick responsiveness of all mission partners. This launch builds on Exolaunch’s extensive experience with its constellation customers across a wide range of orbits and use cases, and represents another step forward in Exolaunch’s growing global footprint.
