EchoStar Sees Net Loss in Q4

EchoStar reported its financial results for both the three and twelve months ended Dec. 31, 2018 in which it saw increased consolidated revenues in Q4 2018, but also a net loss. Total consolidated revenue for Fourth Quarter (Q4) 2018 was $531 million, while total consolidated revenue for the full year 2018 was $2.1 billion.

Consolidated net loss from continuing operations was $112 million in Q4 2018. Diluted loss per share, once adjusted for non-recurring items, was reported at $0.01. For the full year 2018, consolidated net loss from continuing operations was reported at $39 million. Once adjusted for non-recurring items, diluted earnings per share was reported at $0.38.

Additionally, Echostar’s Hughes business finished out 2018 with 1,361,000 Hughes broadband subscribers.
