[Via Satellite 10-11-2014] Colorado-based 308 Systems has delivered custom-configured TAC-PAK/VSAT mobile command systems to Ethiopia, Sudan and Ghana. According to the company, military, peacekeeping and first responders are using the systems in the wake of increased hostilities in several regions.
The 308 Systems-built VSAT systems were requested in place of legacy radio systems and outdated command infrastructure. The customizations included linking field radios to cellphones and computers. The company’s TAC-PAK/VSAT supports data rates up to 6 Mbps.
