[Via Satellite 06-17-2014] Boeing and Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE) signed a Technical Services Agreement (TSA) to evaluate GEE’s satellite connectivity solution for line-fit offerability for airlines. This is an important step in the process of offering customers the option to purchase GEE connectivity that is pre-installed on new Boeing 737 and 787 delivery aircraft.
Boeing’s evaluations of the GEE connectivity service are expected to be complete in 2015. The GEE system is installed on more than 550 aircraft worldwide, spanning four continents.
