[05-12-11] SpaceX hired former Broadcom Corp. financial executive Bret Johnsen as its new CFO, the company announced May 11.
Johnsen, who previously served as CFO of Mindspeed Technologies, will manage the launch company’s $3 billion in NASA and commercial contracts.
In a statement, SpaceX Founder, CEO and CTO Elon Musk said Johnsen’s addition to the company is part of a plan to, “implement the financial standards and processes needed to allow for the possibility of becoming a public company. Johnsen brings 20 years of financial leadership experience in high-profile, publicly traded companies to SpaceX as it undergoes rapid growth on the back of tremendous technological and market success.”
