[09-30-10] The U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has awarded Raytheon a one-year, $30 million extension of the Information Assurance Services (IAS) contract the company received in 2005, Raytheon announced Sept. 29.
Raytheon’s IA Services program provides enterprise cyber-security in seven areas: program management, security engineering assessments, vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection, public key infrastructure, certification and accreditation, and cyber-security incident response.
The Raytheon IAS contract is NGA’s first performance-based contract for computer network defense and provides integrated IA services at the enterprise level to respond to evolving cybersecurity attack vectors. The total value of this extension could reach $88.7 million if all option years are exercised.
