APSTAR-6D satellite successfully positioned in orbit

The newly launched APSTAR-6D satellite was successfully positioned in its designed orbit  on July 17 following five orbital maneuvers. It was positioned at 134 degrees East and has an expected service life of 15 years.

China successfully launched the APSTAR-6D communications satellite via a Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center on July 9.
