Dhruva Space a National Award-winning space technology company focused on building full-stack space engineering solutions to power Space-based applications, on Earth and beyond has showcased a new satellite orbital deployer for CubeSats.
The DSOD 1U from Dhruva Space is a CubeSat orbital deployer that is compatible with the 1U and 2X 0.5U cubesat form factor. It has an ejection velocity of less than 2m/s and has a total cubesat mass of 2 Kg. The deployer has a side volume of up to 9mm on all sides.
The DSOD 1U is available in multiple cubesat configurations and features a non-pyrotechnic Hold Down and Release Mechanism (HDRM). It also includes onboard telemetry sensors for Deployment Confirmation and Ejection Velocity Measurement. The deployer is pre-qualified, assembled (mechanical, electrical), and ready for payload integration.
