DigitalGlobe Selects Raytheon to Supply Constellation Management System

[04-19-10]  Satellite imagery company DigitalGlobe has contracted Raytheon to provide an enhanced constellation collection management system, DigitalGlobe announced April 16.
The Raytheon system aims to provide DigitalGlobe’s constellation with upgraded collection capacity, dependable refresh, intra-day revisit and reliability features. DigitalGlobe said the October launch of its WorldView-2 high-resolution satellite resulted in a sharp collection capacity increase, which drove the deal with Raytheon.
“For today’s imagery user, it’s all about speed of large area collection and refresh. Customers demand both,” DigitalGlobe Founder and CTO Walter Scott said in a statement.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
