[02-25-10] Globecomm Systems subsidiary Telaurus Communications has been awarded a three-year maritime managed services contract from PACC Ship Managers in Singapore, Globecomm announced Feb. 24.
Telaurus will provide maritime fleet broadband terminals (FB500) and its SeaComm maritime communications platform to thirty PACC vessels and a complete end-to-end maritime communications solution suite, which aims to operating costs and improving efficiencies at sea.
“The SeaComm solution enables our customers to maximize the efficiencies that broadband connectivity offers and at the same time effectively manage and control data transmissions that, without such controls, can become extremely costly,” Telaurus President Malcolm McMaster said in a statement.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
