Tiangong-2 Space Lab Completes Assembly

BEIJING, Apr. 18 (China Space News) — According to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, assembly of the Tiangong-2 space lab has been completed.

Tiangong-2 is expected to use the same basic module as its predecessor, Tiangong-1, launched in 2011, but will be crucial for further testing, verification and new capabilities.

After launch, Tiangong-2 will be visited by astronauts lofted into orbit on the Shenzhou-11 mission.
